Exhausted from an eight day trip on a specially designed 'dog show coach' Glen returned from Poland with 'Cloverwood Black Pepper' having been awarded Best of Breed and the dog CACIB and Meriel with 'Torbrae Starry Eyed and Dizzy' having won the Bitch CACIB with 'Vistca Veronya at Cloverwood' (van der Valk's litter brother)  the reserve CACIB. Bitch Reserve CACIB was awarded to Alfred and Helga Birkichts' 'Beauty vom Parkwald' and 'Edith Terri Arcita', owned by Ivana Lachmanova of the Czech Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club, was Best Veteran.

We Dandie Dinmont Breeders have a Google Group and it isn't long ago that we were joined by a group of Czech Dandie Breeders of whom we were unaware. So it was lovely for everyone to meet up at the World Show and to see the Dandies and their Breeders from other Countries including Russia, Finland, Italy, Germany and of course the UK.

This report has been an international effort wonderfully co-ordinated by Minna Repo and Margreth Wall with photographs by Tarja, Vlad'ka and Pepik from Finland and Czech - thank you! Your webmaster has also been given lessons in CACIBs, WWs, JWWs, International Champions etc and explanation of these will be added to the site for those visitors who show under different systems.

[Note: Paul Keevil pointed out last year that Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers are more popular than Dandies in the USA - well the Ducks have beaten us again with 48 entries in the World Show whilst Dandies had 26 with three absent bitches - where have we all gone?]
