 Ch Cloverwood Border Belle Best of Breed and Terrier Group 2 
Another successful show for Dandie Dinmont Terriers and our Judge was the well known all-rounder Ferelith Somerfield. Best of Breed and Bitch  CC AND Terrier Group 2 was Glen Tinsley's Ch Cloverwood Border Belle with the Dog CC going to Pat Bannister's Banburg Alfresco (just waiting for UK KC confirmation that we can call him a Ch!). Paul Eardley [Kennel Sherex], well known in Dandies as well as Australian Terriers, unfortunately was called away and missed handling Banburg Alfresco to this CC but Jackie Shore [Kennel Swanwillow], who grooms him, was able to step into the breach. Reserve Dog CC was awarded to Jamieson and Buist's Ch Inzievar Silver Gilt and the Reserve Bitch CC to Shores' Somercloud Aurora for Swanwillow. Best Puppy was Cassencarrie Habit Forming, bred and shown by Beverly Deacon and Best Veteran was Vistca Veronya at Cloverwood, owned and shown by Meriel France. Seven puppy bitches were shown (one absent making eight entered) - these are a very encouraging part of our future for Dandie Dinmont Terriers in the UK. Paul Eardley has not only campaigned Pat's Banburg Alfresco to his Championship but is having excellent sucess with his Australian Terrier, Ch Silhill Red Rock at Sherex, bred by Sue McCourt. Red Rock first came out with Paul at the Birmingham and District Terrier and Gundog Association, Easter 2006, going on to win Best Puppy in Show! What an entrance to the world of showing. Red Rock has since gone on to massive Group and Best in Show wins including Group 1 at Windsor (Paul had to miss this one too and he was handled by his breeder Sue) - perhaps we should award Red Rock 'Honorary Dandie Dinmont Terrier Status'? If you ever see Red Rock you will be delighted at his happy, outgoing, tireless personality and will be very proud of Glen Tinsley and Ch Cloverwood Border Belle for giving him a real 'run for his money' in such a strong Terrier Group.
