You can help Dandie Dinmonts and Humans by sending blood samples at no cost to you (if required)

Yes - you read it right! Helsinki University needs Dandie Dinmont Terrier blood. Can you help?

Hannes Lohi of the University of Helsinki and the Folkhälsan Institute of Genetics has been studying Dandie Dinmont Terriers within his genetic research programme and now has called urgently for more blood samples.

Mondays are the best time to send blood to allow for delivery to Finland

All Dandie blood is welcome and needed but he is in very urgent need of blood from our older healthy purebred Dandie Dinmont Terriers of 10 years and over.

Our Finnish Dandie colleagues have worked extremely hard raising money for this project and the Dandie Dinmont Trust has contributed significant funding but this research project now needs help and DNA samples (blood) from the 'rest of the world'.

Blood Sampling can be undertaken with no cost to you thanks to the Dandie Dinmont Trust. They are able to either pay your Vet direct or refund the money against your receipt.
