For the first time, your Webmaster used the new UK Kennel Club Online Registration system to register a litter of puppies. We have to report that the system is excellent. From putting in the details online to receiving confirmation that the names were acceptable and the issue of registration numbers took no longer than two hours.

No more do we have to try and fit letters in tiny little boxes and make all the crossed out bits look respectable! Although it is advised that the Breeder of a Litter has in their possession the usual litter registration form signed by the Stud Dog Owner, it is no longer required for online registration. The Kennel Club automatically informs the Stud Dog Owner that progeny of their Sire has been registered. It only took two days to receive all the registration certificates by post.

Congratulations to the Kennel Club for this very easy and intuitive system - which is still on a trial basis - and hopefully more of the administration will in future be completed online.
