The Kennel Club Art Gallery is proud to present ‘The Dandie Dinmont Terrier: 200 Years in Art', a lecture by William Secord. Mr Secord is a recognised US expert in 19th century Canine Art, author of three books on the subject, and is himself the owner of a Dandie Dinmont Terrier.

This special event is being held in conjunction with the Art Gallery's forthcoming exhibition ‘British & Irish Vulnerable Breeds’ and will take place at the Kennel Club headquarters on Thursday 4th September at 2.30 pm. This lively and informative lecture will trace the Dandie Dinmont in art from its origins in the late 18th century to the present day. The great canine artists of the 19th century all painted the Dandie Dinmont, and paintings by Edwin Landseer, Richard Ansdell, John Emms, Maud Earl and Arthur Wardle are among the many that will be included in Secord’s authoritative lecture.

Tickets are priced at £12.50, and include a traditional afternoon tea. Guests attending the lecture will also have the opportunity to visit the Art Gallery and view the ‘British & Irish Vulnerable Breeds’ exhibition.

Tickets are available from the Kennel Club Art Gallery - please contact 020 7518 1064 or email the This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to book your ticket.
