Best of Breed and Reserve Best in Show Ch Inzievar Silver Gilt
Updated 20th April 2008 to include Judges Report - see below.
On a wild, rainy and windy day, Dandie Dinmont Terriers braved the weather, with a longer than normal trek from the car park to the hall, to compete at the Scottish Breeds Championship Show, Ingliston, Scotland.
No CC's for Dandies at this event but Mr B Rodgers (Kennel Lodore) found his Best of Breed and Best Dog in The Late Mrs I and Mr G Jamieson & Buists' well known Ch Inzievar Silver Gilt (who ultimately was awarded Reserve Best in Show) and his Best Bitch in Jarvis' Mosterlada Shooting Star. Reserve Best Dog was Brian Kerrush's new puppy Inzievar Royal Gold and Reserve Best Bitch was Deidre McLeod's new puppy Dawsholm Meg Merriles from Healaval which also went on to be Best Puppy.
Just as a matter of interest perhaps to our overseas visitors, the Deerhound Club of Scotland keeps a video record of their judging at these shows which you might like to view - no Dandies but it will give you a 'flavour' of the show accompanied by some stirring Scottish music. Perhaps we should do the same for future Dandie generations?
