Judge's Report added - see below
It was almost a magical day when one of our Exhibitors, Gill Mannia, having owned and loved Dandies since 1977, attained her first ever The Dog CC was awarded to Glen Tinsley & Mike Macbeths' UK & Can Ch Glahms Royal Canadian with Reserve Dog CC being given to Irys How & Mrs Winch (Irys Mum) Mishahda Rhapsody in Blue - another lovely result as this little chap was rescued from his first home last year. Reserve Bitch CC was Cloverwood Absolute Angel bred and owned by Glen Tinsley. Our breed knew that we were scheduled to be in the ring after two other breeds and were sensible enough to arrive early so as not to miss the classes which we thought would be moved to an empty ring. But despite representations and watching stakes classes go before us and empty rings staying empty, the planned schedule was adhered to and we missed the Group cut by about five minutes despite the Group Judge's, Ferelith Sommerfield, valiant efforts to delay choosing her shortlist for the sake of the Dandie Dinmont. Dandie Dinmont Terriers were judged by Jackie Shore, Kennel Swanwillow, who gave a 'masterclass' in keeping one's cool under pressure and whose efficient judging, whilst giving each exhibit due consideration, nearly recouped the lost time. ps We have a lovely photo of Persephone for you to see as soon as it is scanned.
I thank exhibitors for their patience in the very long wait we had to get into the ring.
