Our first Championship Show of the 2007 season with Challenge Certificates available took place yesterday, April 7th, at the Bingley Hall, Stafford with Judge Keith Derry (Vistca) at the helm of the Dandie Dinmont ring.

Best of Breed Can Ch Glahms Royal Canadian

It was an incredibly late start to the Dandie judging with the call for the Best of Breeds to the collecting ring for Best in Show being made before the Post Graduate Bitch Dandie class had been called. Cairn Terriers were in the ring before us at 9am and that

does seem an inordinate and perhaps unacceptable length of time to make the Dandie Dinmonts wait for their 'moment'.

Keith found his Best of Breed and Dog CC Winner in Tinsley and Macbeth's mustard Can Ch Glahms Royal Canadian (Can Imp) with the Bitch CC, her second, going to Kerrush's mustard Inzievar Gold Ring. Reserve Dog CC was the well known pepper Ch Inzievar Silver Gilt handled by Frances Chapman and owned by Buist and the late James whilst the Reserve Bitch CC went to Cameron's Inzievar Silver Bonnet. Best Puppy was Morrice's mustard Shonillian Dandillion Digby.

For your information and enjoyment, we have added a couple of pictures - the first of Can Ch Glahms Royal Canadian relaxing at home on the sofa last December and the puppy Shonillian Dandillion Digby at the CDDTC Show at the beginning of March. Brian Kerrush's Technical Assistant (his son!) has been instructed by Brian to send a picure of Inzievar Gold Ring later today - Sunday 8th April. [Update: the Technical Assistant to Mr Kerrush didn't call to collect his baby tortoise so Technical Assistant No 2, Gill Kerrush, his wife, has stepped in to save the day! 11th April 2007]
