Deidre's MumIt is with sadness that we mark the passing of Mrs E McLeod who died 7th November 2007 just a few days after the 10th CDDTC Championship Show in Kelso.

Affectionately, Mrs McLeod Senior was always known to us as 'Deidre's Mum' and was one of the 'founding pillars' upon which the Caledonian Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club was built.

She was always there... at every show we held, and for years contributed to many aspects of the Club including the catering; in particular with her wonderfully popular 'Scottish Soup'. Not only for humans, the Healaval Dandies were reared on a daily portion of this soup too!

Her daughter, the Founding Secretary of the Caledonian, Deidre, caravanned and motorhomed her Mum to many a distant show until latterly so many of you will be in receipt of her kind words and wisdom.

The picture was taken at our Kelso Show in 2004 showing 'Deidre's Mum' looking after the  Healaval Dandies enabling Deidre to work for the Caledonian. Despite being an Honorary Life Member of the Caledonian, 'Deidre's Mum' always insisted on paying her subscription annually and her seen and unseen work for the Club was legion.

Our sincere condolences go to Deidre McLeod, her daughter.
