Dandie Dinmont Terriers in the UK

Organised by Paul Keevil (what a busy little bee!) there should be another Dandie Dinmont collectable - the Independent on Sunday - 9th March, 2008 or, as we call it, Dandie Day at Crufts!

  Representing Dandie Dinmonts, John Charlton, in costume, and Lynda Bromley's indomitable Dandies travelled to London to take part in a photo shoot for Vulnerable British & Irish Native Breeds. Lynda, standing behind the photographer, managed to get a quick shot to give you a 'flavour' of the piece and, on arriving home, she also gave a 'Dandie Dinmont' interview with the reporter. We look forward to seeing it!

The photograph of Paul Keevil was taken by a young man called Maxx Jaconelli just 16 years old. Before Crufts, Paul was part of a UK Kennel Club initiative to show careers connected with dogs to Young Kennel Club Members. Paul's subject was Dog Photography. Maxx was so keen that Paul organised a Press Pass for him on Saturday at Crufts and he was 'attached' to the KC Photographers all day. On Sunday, the final day, he had a photographer's pass to photograph the Best in Show! It was only three weeks from the YKC Careers Day to his first assignment as Crufts BIS photographer - is this a record?
