Dandie Dinmont Terrier Puppies Available in the UK now

It is not easy to find a Dandie Dinmont Terrier
but the following might make it easier for you

Contact a Breeder

there are several ways of doing this:

  • contact a Dandie Club in your part of the world
  • contact your country's Kennel Club
  • go to a show
  • check out our links page

Important! You hopefully will not find a Dandie in a puppy store - if you do please let us know urgently.

Usually Dandies are not 'kennel bred'. They are reared in the breeder's home with love and care. So do not be offended if you are checked out very carefully, often with a home visit and follow up, by the Breeder you have chosen.Pepper Dandie Dinmont Puppy by Joachim Kruse

In return, a good Breeder will teach you how to care for your Dandie Dinmont Terrier and will always be on hand if you need advice and they are especially useful if you decide to become a Breeder in the future.

Club Shows are an excellent way to meet Dandie Dinmont Breeders and Owners and, most importantly, Dandies themselves. They are usually less formal than major all-breed shows and there is time to talk, look and to make contacts in preparation for buying a Dandie.

There were only 78 Dandie puppies registered in the UK in of 2006 . They are rare and often people wait two or three years for that special little bundle - a Dandie puppy.
