Unusually, hockey has featured twice in the past couple of weeks with the 'common denominator' being a Dandie Dinmont Terrier! Take a look at this picture:
This is the English Ladies Hockey Team 1906 and just look at their Mascot! Surely it was a winning team. Does anyone know more about this and who the Dandie Dinmont Terrier is? Maybe it is some kind of 'race memory' but do enjoy this video from Paul Keevil on YouTube showing his homebred Dandie Dinmont Terrier Puppy actually playing hockey. This isn't a one-off game... he has worked it out for himself and uses his Mother's rubber chicken as a hockey stick and his own plastic bottle as the ball. Full marks for initiative Jackson!
