We would like to report on the 'glorious summer' we have had but the weather hasn't been kind in 2007. So instead, a little update on the Dandie Dinmont Web!

What's New?

Pedigree Database updated today

The Dandie Dinmont Pedigree database is constantly being added to and has been updated on the Dandie Dinmont Web. We are still working on the German Dandie database and of course working steadily through the UK Breed Record Supplements. Many thanks to those who contribute to this in particular Lynda Bromley who updates the database each time a new BRS is issued.

When you see 'm' next to a dog's name in the database,  this stands for 'male' and not 'mustard'  - hopefully we can add colours soon.

Over the next few months, the navigation will be changing so do watch out for 'sub menus' appearing in the navigation on the left. Little things such as 'results' will be a sub menu of 'events' for example.

What's Coming?

Janet Roslyn [Kennel Renald] joins our Editorial Team!

We are very pleased to announce a new member of our Editorial Team. Janet Roslyn [Kennel Renald]. Janet will be writing about historic kennels and breeders and, as we write, we have received the first article featuring Mrs Phyllis Salisbury and Kennel Salismore and this is being formatted for the website right now! Definitely something to look forward to and look out for the new sub menu, Historic Kennels, which will appear under Dandie Dinmont History.

Paul Keevil adds to the Collectable and Art Sections

Paul Keevil's articles on Dandie Dinmont Collectables will be added to and Dandie Dinmont Art will be featured.

As usual in the busy summertime there are many show results to catch up with - please be patient!

Thank you for your support!

Finally, may we thank you all for your continuing support of the Caledonian's Dandie Dinmont Web. Things move very rapidly on the web. This site changed to a content management system in 2006 - beginning with Mambo and followed that 'Open Source' team to Joomla! It started with Joomla! 1 and now is Joomla 1.0.12 - that is 12 updates for Joomla! alone. Over the next year we will metamorphose again with Joomla! 1.5 very close to release. Hopefully your webmaster will be able to upgrade the site again without you even noticing it except that you will have more 'functionality'!
