Dandie Dinmont Terrier Breed Judging Results Crufts 2007

Terrier Group Judging Results Crufts 2007

 An interim report ...

Well that's over for another year! From what I hear the International Dandie Google Breeders' Group had a very jolly meeting and the whole atmosphere was good with lots of overseas visitors. Our Best of Breed, Harry, Ch Hobergays Fineus Fogg, goes back to Australia on Tuesday and it was great for him to end his show career with some excellent competition. Apparently he had massive support from the visitors during Open Dog and particularly Best of Breed. Both the bitch and the dog Open classes, to name just two, must have been very difficult to judge down the line with so many top winning dogs there on the day.

Congratulations to all the winners but special well dones have to go to Emma Greenway and Brian McFadden (not forgetting Josie Whittall and co-owners Bill Cosby and Jean Heath) and Glen Tinsley whose Ch Cloverwood Border Belle was the Best Bitch - tough competition and they came out on top! It would have been so exciting if Harry had won the Terrier Group but as always it was a terrifically strong group and Group 2 was a fantastic achievement. The ringside crowds certainly would have given him Group 1 judging by the cheering!

Best of Breed AUST GR CH/AM CH Hobergays Fineus Fogg

So farewell to Harry. A born showman who has been an excellent Ambassador for Dandies and who now can go back to a happy retirement maybe intermingled with making the odd puppy or two.

Lots of photographs are whizzing their way to your Webmaster and they will be posted during the coming week. Inkeke ter Heersche was at Crufts so hopefully there will be a CD of the judging available from the Dandie Trust in due course. The Dandie Discover Dogs team did a fantastic job and we will show you pictorially just how they got on!
