a message from our secretary Mr Keith Derry
In 2008 the CDDTC took the decision to try and help entries at shows held in Scotland the home of our club.
It was agreed to start a competition for Members entering Scottish Kennel Club show (May & August); Scottish Breeds Canine Society; Border Union and CDDTC Ch Show.
A simple points trophy based upon First in each class = 4 points; Second = 3 points; Third = 2 points and Reserve = 1 point with and additional point going to the exhibit declared Best of Breed. The Idea to make it easier for a non champion to win since they may enter more than 1 class thereby gaining more points.
Until now this competition has resulted in a presentation during the Annual General meeting and nothing else, however it has been decided to publicise the competition more and hopefully encourage more members to support these shows during these difficult economic times.
