Best in Show Weatherstone's Hendell Beau Brummel at Borderstone
What a day... First the Annual General Meeting and then one of our best Spring Shows ever!
From an excellent entry judged by Cynthia Ray of Cumbria, Wendy Weatherstone's Hendell Beau
Brummel at Borderstone took Best In Show whilst Barbara Hunter's
Hendell Sweet Pickle was Reserve Best in Show and Best Opposite Sex.
Deidre McLeod's Dawsholm Meg Merrilees from Healaval was Best Puppy and
Deidre's own Healaval Kelp was Best Veteran.
This being the smallest of our three annual shows, normally we have a leisurely day of Dandie doings and plenty of time to chat with our Members. But this time we had around 90 extra visitors apart from the exhibitors and their handlers. This number doesn't include those folk who thought there was a table top sale at the venue! They were just people who wanted to meet and find out about Dandie Dinmont Terriers which was excellent.
It is very much appreciated by the Committe that our Members and Exhibitors give their time to advise and guide these visitors who are interested in the Dandie Dinmont Terrier and very special thanks go to Lynda Bromley who brought the Discover Dogs Boards to the venue (and put them up and took them down!) and Graham Kennedy, one of our visitors, who kindly sent photographs of Dandies taken around the show. All in all it was an excellent 'Dandie family' event.
